Social Impact Assessment
Social Impact Assessment refers to the measurement and assessment of how the input from various projects, programs and policies transform into outcomes and impact based on a certain conceptual framework, for example, theory of change or the logic framework. It is both a scholarly field of research as well as an instrument for practical use by practitioners and policy makers to evaluate the efficacy of certain projects, programs or policies.

Social Impact Assessment on the Community Housing Movement

With the funding from the Hong Kong Council of Social Services from 2018 to 2021, this project aims to assess the social impacts of poverty alleviation as well as social inclusion on low income households participating in the “Community Housing Movement”. We also aim at understanding how the participants have changed in terms of their quality of life. This project will contribute to our understanding of this innovative and alternative type of housing in Hong Kong.
